FAQ

How do I record a sound?

Either tap on the record button once to start recording, and again to stop, or hold it down while you want to record and release when you're done. The icon will turn into a square and become bright red while recording is in progress.

Can I disable the record button?

Yes! In the device settings screen for the app, there is a toggle which lets you turn off record completely. It is not available in the app itself to avoid accidental presses.

Can I export the recorded sound?

Unfortunately not. The sound is stored only within the app itself, and cannot be exported.

What devices does this app work on?

PlayButton was originally written for iPad, but also works on iPhone, Apple Watch, and Mac. Each device stores and plays back its own recording independently.
